About The Lab

Designed for learning. Built for reliability.

My homelab is a playground for virtualization, networking, and self-hosting. Running Proxmox, OPNsense, Docker, Nextcloud, and custom monitoring solutions, it’s where I test ideas, explore new technologies, and build systems that are secure, resilient, and entirely my own.

What Powers My Homelab

Everything is designed around reliability, learning, and self-hosting. From virtualization and networking to monitoring and automation, these are the technologies and principles that drive my home infrastructure.

Virtualization

Run multiple operating systems and services efficiently using Proxmox, enabling rapid experimentation and scalable infrastructure from a single platform.

Monitoring

Real-time visibility into system health with Grafana, Prometheus, and custom dashboards to track performance, uptime, and resource usage.

Self-Hosted Services

Take control of your data with self-hosted applications including WordPress, Nextcloud, media servers, and other open-source tools.

Networking & Security

Secure and manage network traffic with OPNsense, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules to create an isolated and resilient environment.

Containers

Deploy lightweight applications using Docker and Kubernetes, making it easy to test, update, and scale services independently.

Automation

Automate repetitive tasks, backups, and infrastructure management using scripts, scheduled jobs, and smart workflows to keep everything running smoothly.

Built with Curiosity

Every homelab starts with a single machine and a desire to learn. Mine has grown into a platform for experimentation, hosting virtual machines, containers, and self-hosted services that power my daily life.

Proxmox Virtualization

Run multiple operating systems and services from a unified platform.

Container Platforms

Docker containers make deploying and testing applications simple and reliable.

Self-Hosted Applications

WordPress, Nextcloud, and other services running entirely under my control.

Continuous Learning

The lab evolves constantly as I explore new technologies and ideas.

Designed for Reliability

The goal isn’t simply to run servers—it’s to build resilient infrastructure that is observable, secure, and automated.

From networking and firewalls to backups and monitoring, every component is designed to work together seamlessly.

Networking & Security

OPNsense firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs keep the environment secure.

Monitoring & Observability

Grafana, Prometheus, and custom dashboards provide real-time insights.

Storage & Backups

Redundant storage and tested backup strategies protect valuable data.

Automation

Scripts and workflows automate maintenance and repetitive tasks.
